Malaysia Embraces Enhanced Strategic Partnerships with China

On November 6, 2024, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim expressed the nation’s commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships with China. During a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Anwar highlighted Malaysia’s readiness to collaborate on various fronts, including trade, investment, and technology.

Anwar emphasized that these partnerships are crucial for Malaysia’s economic growth and development. He pointed out that China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) plays a significant role in enhancing connectivity and infrastructure in Malaysia. The Prime Minister noted that the ongoing projects under the BRI have already yielded positive outcomes for the Malaysian economy.
