CYBERJAYA, 26 June 2025: A 20-year-old female physiotherapy student was found dead in her university dormitory in Cyberjaya on June 24. A friend discovered her unresponsive at around 10 a.m., and police were immediately notified. A post-mortem confirmed she died from blunt force trauma to the head, though there were no signs of sexual assault. Investigators believe the victim may have been killed elsewhere before her body was placed in the dorm room.
Further probing revealed that several of the student’s personal items were missing, including her laptop, mobile phone, ATM card, and some cash. Police later discovered that her ATM card had been used for multiple withdrawals across Kuala Lumpur shortly after her death. No signs of forced entry were found at the scene, and police are still working to piece together the timeline and motive. One individual has been arrested to assist with the investigation.
The case has shaken the student community and raised serious safety concerns. Police have urged the public not to speculate or spread misinformation as the investigation continues under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder. They are also appealing to anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the victim.
