First Look of RJ Balaji’s Sorgavaasal Unveiled

The first look of RJ Balaji’s upcoming film Sorgavaasal, directed by debutant Sidharth Vishwanath, was released by filmmaker Pa Ranjith on Saturday. The poster shows Balaji in a distressed state, standing in front of a flight of stairs in a crumbling prison, hinting at an intense storyline.
Set in 1999 Chennai, the film is expected to revolve around a prison break, with Balaji portraying a criminal attempting to escape. While the official plot remains under wraps, Netflix, which has secured the post-theatrical rights, teased the storyline with the tagline, “No door can stop this jailbreak”.
Sorgavaasal is written by Thamizh Praba, AshwinRavichandran, and Sidharth Vishwanath. Notably, Vishwanathhas previously worked as an assistant to Pa Ranjith. The film’s technical team includes Christo Xavier on music, cinematography by Prince Anderson, editing by Selva RK, and art direction by S Jayachandran.
