Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah Exit Denmark Open in Quarterfinals

19th October: The hopes of Malaysia’s badminton team at the 2024 Denmark Open came to an end as Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah were defeated in the quarterfinals. The duo faced the Japanese pair Rin Iwanaga and Kie Nakanishi, losing in a closely contested match with scores of 20-22 and 19-21 after nearly an hour of play. This marked their second loss to the Japanese team in six encounters.

Earlier in the tournament, the men’s doubles defending champions, Aaron Chia and Soh WooiYik, also bowed out in the quarterfinals, falling to the Chinese team of Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi with scores of 20-22 and 15-21.

The Japanese pair will now advance to the semifinals, where they will meet the second-seeded South Korean duo of Baek Ha Na and Lee So He as stated in BULETIN TV3.
