31 JANUARY:According to police, i-City was given a compound by the Shah Alam City Council last year for constructing the theme park without formal permission.
A glass water slide float at the Sky City theme park in i-City Shah Alam came loose and fell on a guest; police are looking into the incident. The victim, a woman in her 20s, and her family were at the theme park on Wednesday when the event happened, according to Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim, at around 11 p.m.
When the float unexpectedly fell and hit the victim’s body, she was strolling beneath the glass water slide. After being brought to a clinic, she was examined for injuries.In a statement, he said, “Thankfully, she did not sustain any serious injuries.”
According to Iqbal, the case is also being investigated under Section 337 of the Penal Code, which punishes up to six months in prison or a fine of up to RM1,000 upon conviction for inflicting harm by an act that jeopardizes the life or personal safety of others.
