By Subaashinee Kupusamy,
1 OCTOBER: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is modernizing its investigation processes by adopting new technologies and advanced techniques to combat increasingly complex corruption cases. Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki emphasized the need for evolution in intelligence and investigative strategies. The MACC has introduced more systematic approaches using forensic technology, forensic accounting, and streamlined methods to expedite case resolutions.
The new technologies and techniques adopted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will significantly enhance investigation processes. Forensic technology and forensic accounting will allow faster, more accurate detection and analysis of corrupt practices, helping investigators identify hidden assets and financial crimes more efficiently. By improving case resolution speeds, these advancements aim to recover assets faster, ensuring criminals are prevented from enjoying illegally gained wealth. The initiative is also designed to maintain the relevance and effectiveness of the MACC in an increasingly complex environment of corruption as stated in BULTEIN TV3.
