KUALA LUMPUR, 02 November 2025: Malaysian junior chess player Genivan Genkeswaran has achieved a significant international victory, being crowned the champion at the 19th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2025. This triumph underscores Malaysia’s rising prominence in the competitive world of academic chess.
Genivan secured the top position in the Under-15 Open Blitz category of the prestigious tournament. Blitz chess is characterized by its fast-paced format, demanding exceptional speed, calculation, and tactical precision from players.
