PUTRAJAYA — Malaysia’s national employment portal, MYFutureJobs, currently hosts over 96,700 active job openings, with high-skilled positions and competitive salaries driving the bulk of local recruitment efforts, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan revealed.
According to data released by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO) as of June 30, the platform has advertised a cumulative total of 668,321 vacancies, reflecting sustained industry demand for local talent across diverse sectors.
High Wages and Technical Demand
Crucially, the latest figures signal a push toward higher-value employment in the country. Nearly 40 per cent of the active listings represent high-skilled roles, while more than 30 per cent stem from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) sector.
Furthermore, almost one in five available positions—roughly 20 per cent—offers monthly salaries exceeding RM5,000.
“This reflects the industry’s high demand for local talent,” Ramanan said in a statement, noting that the data underscores opportunities across all career stages and skill levels.
Driving Results – Over 14,000 Hired in Early 2026
To accelerate re-entry into the workforce, the MADANI Government—through PERKESO—has paired its digital portal with physical outreach. Between January and May this year, PERKESO organized 2,989 career programs nationwide, engaging 86,594 jobseekers.
The initiative yielded immediate results: 14,029 candidates secured immediate employment, while another 15,809 successfully advanced to second-round interviews.
Beyond job matching, the platform offers career counseling, resume reviews, and upskilling modules. To remove financial barriers for jobseekers accepting positions outside their hometowns, the government also provides Mobility Assistance grants of up to RM1,000 to cover relocation costs.
Ramanan reiterated that the Ministry of Human Resources (KESUMA) will continue expanding ties with private sector employers to build sustainable career pathways, urging both active jobseekers and those considering a career change to utilize the MYFutureJobs portal.
