10 February: The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by how it treats animals. A heartwarming video of three traffic police officers rescuing an injured stray dog in Bahau Satellite Town has gone viral, earning widespread admiration. The officers, who were on duty, stopped to help the helpless animal trapped in a roadside drain, about 3 kilometers from the Bahau-Juasseh roadway.

The frightened and injured dog struggled to move, likely due to being hit by a vehicle, leaving it with multiple injuries, including a fractured leg. In a one-minute, 24-second video shared by Jempol District Police on Facebook, the officers are seen carefully lifting the dog out using a plastic bag. Initially scared, the dog attempted to limp away, but the officers calmed it to ensure its safety.

The Jempol District Police Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Unit officers—Adrian Johnny, Mohd Zulhairi Bin Yahaya, and Mohd Rasul Putera Bin Mohd Shahauddin—acted selflessly while on routine patrol. Their kindness has been widely praised on social media, highlighting their dedication to both public service and animal welfare.

Acts of compassion, no matter how small, create a more empathetic society. By helping animals in need, we teach responsibility and kindness, fostering a better world for both humans and animals.
