28 APRIL BUKIT MERTAJAM, PENANG: A tragic incident shattered a family’s peaceful evening on 13th April 2025.Around 9:00 PM, while dining at Honey 388 Restaurant on Jalan Machang Bubok, disaster struck.
Amid the chatter and clinking of plates, cries of pain rang out, Sidhaarthan Raaj a/l Sasibalan (IC No: 160601-02-0991), a young boy, had been splashed with hot water by the restaurant owner, a Chinese man.
The burns left Sidhaarthan with serious injuries to his face and parts of his body. He was immediately rushed to Bukit Mertajam Hospital and admitted for treatment. Due to the severity of the burns, he was transferred the next day, 14th April 2025 at 2:30 PM, to Penang General Hospital for urgent skin surgery.
This was not a mere accident. It was an act of gross negligence that has left a young child scarred both physically and emotionally.No parent should have to witness their child suffer such pain.
“We demand justice for Sidhaarthan. We urge the authorities to take swift and decisive legal action against the individual responsible” Sidhaarthan’s family stated to THP.
Sidhaarthan’s family appealed to the public to share their story, stand in solidarity with them in seeking justice, and help ensure that no other family would have to endure such anguish.#JusticeForSidhaarthan
