On 19th April 2025, Hindu Tharma Maamandram, as the main organiser, together with the support of various Hindu NGOs and the community, successfully celebrated Tamizh Puthandu at Brickfields Little India.
The event, held beside the fountain at Jalan Tun Sambanthan, started at 3.00 PM and brought together people from all walks of life to celebrate Tamil New Year with joy and cultural pride.
The celebration featured exciting traditional activities such as Uri Adithal, Kolam, flower tying, coloring, and a variety of cultural shows including Silambam, Urumi Melam, and traditional dances like Mayil Attam, Kollattam, and Oyil Attam. There was also an exhibition of traditional games that added fun and excitement to the day.
