30 JANUARY:As of 8 a.m. on Thursday, 5,385 people from 1,505 families had sought shelter at temporary relief shelters, up from 2,981 people from 862 households the previous night.
According to the most recent data from the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee Secretariat, Bintulu has the most flood victims, with 1,481 individuals from 396 families put in six centers, followed by Serian, which has 1,442 people from 446 families in 15 centres.
The number of impacted districts climbed from 12 at 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Jan 29) to 14 on Thursday (Jan 30), while the number of centers activated increased from 36 to 47. – Bernama
