SELANGOR, MALAYSIA- Yayasan Falsafah dan Institusi Saiva, a registered foundation in Malaysia, is committed to promoting Saivism as an important religion at large and to creating awareness and restoring the history of Saivism amongst the Tamils. With this vision, the foundation has embarked on a noble journey to establish a temple and Saiva college for Malaysian Hindus.
The foundation is spearheading a transformative three-phase development project spanning 7.5 acres of pristine land in Mukim Kerling, Hulu Selangor. This groundbreaking endeavor aims to create a world-class Saiva-based educational and spiritual hub that will serve generations to come.
The initiative seeks to establish:
- A model Saiva temple dedicated to imparting knowledge on Saiva Agamas;
- A Saiva-Hindu Education Academy/College;
- A multi-purpose auditorium with a seating capacity of 1,200.
This visionary development is poised to become a globally recognized center of excellence for Saivism, addressing not only spiritual teachings but also the reformation and revitalization of religious practices specifically tailored for Malaysian Hindu youth. The initiative seeks to cultivate a new generation of highly trained religious practitioners, spiritual leaders, and educators.
The Saiva-Hindu Education Academy/College will deliver rigorous full-time academic and practical programs covering traditional disciplines such as Saiva Agamas, Saiva Siddhanta Saathiram, Thirumurai, Thirumurai Pannisai, and Tamil traditional arts. Additionally, the curriculum will integrate modern subjects including Finance, Communication, and Agriculture to ensure graduates are equipped for contemporary challenges.
The total cost of the three-phase development is estimated at RM50 million, including land acquisition- made possible through the collective contributions of dedicated Saiva Siddhanta students.
