PUTRAJAYA, 23 September 2025: The MADANI government has committed to ensuring the full and transparent use of a RM30 million allocation designated for the development of Tamil schools across the nation. The announcement aims to reassure the community that the funds will be effectively channeled towards improving educational infrastructure and facilities for students in these schools.
The allocation, which is part of the government’s broader education initiative, is intended to address critical needs such as upgrading school buildings, purchasing new equipment, and supporting co-curricular activities. Officials emphasised that the funds will be disbursed directly to the schools based on their specific needs and submitted proposals, ensuring that the aid is both impactful and targeted. This approach seeks to bypass bureaucratic delays and directly empower school administrators to implement necessary improvements.
This commitment follows extensive dialogue between government representatives and stakeholders from the Tamil school community, including parent-teacher associations and school boards. The discussions were focused on creating a clear and efficient mechanism for fund distribution to ensure accountability and to prevent any misuse. The government has pledged to provide regular updates on the status of the projects and the expenditure of the allocation, reinforcing its commitment to transparency and public trust.
The initiative is seen as a significant step towards ensuring equitable access to quality education for all students, regardless of their background or the type of school they attend. By prioritising the needs of Tamil schools, the government is not only fulfilling its promises but also investing in the future of a key segment of the country’s educational landscape.
