Malaysian Athlete Dr Kjey Breaks Third World Record

KUALA LIPIS — Pahang-born fitness athlete K. Jey Prabakaran Thevar has shattered his third world record after completing a grueling 18-hour non-stop cardio and weightlifting marathon. Known widely as Dr Kjey, the 29-year-old dedicated his historic feat to his late father, Kunasigaran Suppiya Thevar, who passed away in March 1999.

The extraordinary trial began at the crack of dawn at 4:00 am and concluded at 11:00 pm at Healthland Kuala Lipis. This momentous achievement has officially secured his spot in both the Malaysia Book of Records and the Influencer Book of World Records. For Dr Kjey, growing up without a father was a powerful source of motivation that pushed him to bring global sporting glory to Malaysia.

To survive the extreme physical strain, the athlete underwent a massive lifestyle overhaul. He completely shifted to a strict vegetarian diet and shed 32 kilograms of body weight over months of intense preparation. This latest victory adds to his growing legacy, building upon his previous 12-hour and 15-hour global endurance records set in 2023 and 2024.

Looking ahead, Dr Kjey intends to use his platform as president of the Malaysian India Fitness Association to inspire local youth to embrace healthier lifestyles. He is already planning his next major challenge for this coming October, where he aims to set a new national record by smashing through 5,000 jumping jacks within a tight five-hour window.
