However, following a momentous occasion at the Stade-de-France, the current world champion’s lone medal in the Paris 2024 Olympics was a silver.
Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan astonished everyone by shattering the Olympic record in the final with a time of 92.97 meters on his second try. Chopra responded right away, but he could only muster 89.45m. The Indian ace was unable to match his Pakistani counterpart’s enormous effort – Olympics.com
Significantly, Chopra became the most successful Olympian from India with his silver medal. He is also the fifth Summer Games individual silver medallist.
Arshad Nadeem is the first athlete from Pakistan to win an Olympic gold medal individually. After PV Sindhu and Sushil Kumar, Neeraj is the third Indian to win an individual Olympic medal in two separate Games – Hindustan Times
