Police Arrest Two, Seize Drugs Worth Nearly RM2 Million at Miri Airport

8th NOVEMBER: In a significant anti-drug operation, Sarawak police detained two Malaysian men aged 36 and 42 at Miri International Airport, discovering drugs valued at RM1.99 million in their luggage. The seized drugs, including 10.83 kg of Eramin 5 pills, 4.1 kg of Ecstasy, and 7 kg of methamphetamine, were intended for local distribution in Miri and could potentially supply over 100,000 users. Both suspects, reportedly paid RM5,000 to transport the drugs from Peninsular Malaysia, tested positive for multiple narcotics. One has a criminal record involving theft, burglary, and drug offenses. They are held under a six-day remand until November 13 for further investigation under Malaysia’s Dangerous Drugs Act as stated in BULETIN TV3.
