SUBANG JAYA – A public screening of the 2026 FIFA World Cup turned violent early Wednesday morning. A massive brawl broke out at a popular restaurant in Bandar Sunway, leaving three men injured.
The physical fight occurred at Rock Cafe following the Round of 16 match between Argentina and Egypt. Subang Jaya district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, confirmed the incident. He stated that the authorities received an official report regarding the disturbance at 6:16 AM.
Initial investigations show that a misunderstanding sparked the clash. The victims had an argument with another group of men who were already at the venue. This verbal dispute escalated rapidly into physical violence. The three victims sustained minor wounds. Medical workers transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A video of the violent exchange spread rapidly across social media platforms. The footage shows patrons scattering as the large group fights inside the premises.
Subang Jaya police have launched a full investigation to track down the fleeing suspects. Forensic teams have processed the crime scene. Meanwhile, investigators are actively reviewing closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage and recording eyewitness statements.
The police are treating the incident as a serious breach of public safety. They are investigating the case under Section 148 of the Penal Code for armed rioting.
Wan Azlan urged the public to stay calm and practice self-control during high-energy sporting events. He also advised social media users to stop sharing the viral footage to protect the ongoing police investigation.
