ALOR SETAR – Police are looking for a 32-year-old real estate agent who stabbed his female colleague inside a car on Sunday night.
The attack happened at 9:19 PM outside a restaurant along Jalan Titi Gajah. The victim is a 35-year-old woman who also works in the property sector. She suffered deep wounds to the right side of her neck.
Kota Setar police chief ACP Syed Basri Syed Ali shared details about the crime today. He said the woman sat in the driver’s seat of her Mazda car. The male suspect sat next to her in the front passenger seat. After the assault, the suspect ran away on foot.
Bystanders saw the bleeding woman and quickly called for help. An ambulance rushed her to the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital. Doctors treated her injuries, and she is now in stable condition.
The suspect and the victim knew each other well through their real estate property jobs. They were traveling together before the fight started. Police still do not know the exact reason for the attack.
Officers are searching for the suspect and the weapon. They are investigating the case under Section 326 of the Penal Code. This section covers causing severe bodily hurt with dangerous weapons.
