Dharma MADANI Phase 2 Application Window Opens for First 324 Complete Submissions

KUALA LUMPUR — Applications for Phase 2 of the Dharma MADANI Programme are officially open to eligible Hindu temples nationwide, with assistance capped at the first 324 complete submissions received.

The Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (MITRA) confirmed that the application portal opened at 9:00 AM on August 17 and will remain open until 5:00 PM on September 18, 2026.

Empowering Community and Cultural Hubs

The government-backed initiative aims to empower Hindu temples across Malaysia to serve not only as places of worship, but as active centers for community learning, spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and local social activities.

The overall Dharma MADANI Programme targets a total of 1,000 Hindu temples registered with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) Malaysia. Under Phase 1 of the initiative, 676 Hindu temples were approved to receive assistance.

First-Come Basis for Complete Submissions

Due to the capped quota of 324 slots under Phase 2, MITRA advised temple management committees to review all prerequisites thoroughly and submit their documentation early.

“Eligible Hindu temples that meet the requirements outlined in the Dharma MADANI Programme Application Guidelines are encouraged to submit their applications during the one-month application period,”MITRAstated.

Temple management committees can review eligibility requirements and access application forms directly via the Dharma MADANI Application Form.
