“Hence, the theme for this year’s Deepavali will be unity.
“The effort to rekindle and encourage unity in our community will run for ten days, commencing today. For the next ten days, we will focus on areas that require our attention and have assigned each day a special subject to promote.
“Lets stay united to protect our religion’ is today’s theme.

“A spiritual warrior like Arjuna should flourish in the minds of every Hindu,” he said.
He added that: “Among the most pressing problems facing our community are the propagation of the ‘dravidian’ philosophy, which promotes atheism, in Tamil schools, and the subsequent conversion of members of our society.
