Two SJKT Castlefield Students Selected For MIFA Under-12 Football Tournament

PUCHONG, August 26 – Two young female athletes from SJKT Castlefield have secured places in a competitive regional sports development squad. Kiruba Shuathy and Sylvia Maria earned official selections to play for PDFA Football Club in the upcoming MIFA Under-12 tournament. Consequently, local school administrators and parents have commended the achievements of these SJKT Castlefield students.

National Selection For SJKT Castlefield Students

The selection marks a key milestone for the school’s grassroots sports training framework. Representatives from the Malaysian Indian Football Association (MIFA) track emerging talent across primary schools to build competitive youth rosters.

Both Kiruba Shuathy and Sylvia Maria underwent performance evaluations before securing their positions with PDF Football Club. Therefore, their inclusion highlights growing participation numbers for female athletes in primary school football programs.

“Their hard work, dedication, and passion have made our entire school community proud,” stated a representative from the SJKT Castlefield Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG). “We wish both our young stars the very best as they take this exciting step forward in their football journey.”

Expanding Youth Opportunities In Local Sports

Furthermore, the inclusion of primary school players in organized club frameworks supports broader athletic development goals. Local youth clubs like PDF Football Club provide structured coaching environments, tactical drills, and tournament exposure that go beyond standard physical education classes.

Sports organizers note that early exposure to competitive leagues prepares young players for state and national selection trials later in their academic careers. By competing in the MIFA Under-12 tournament, these two SJKT Castlefield students will test their skills against top-tier youth teams from across the country.

Meanwhile, classmates, teachers, and school supporters have posted messages of encouragement for both athletes online. The PIBG confirmed that the school will continue supporting grassroots sports programs to ensure students can balance academic goals with athletic excellence.
