PETALING JAYA — The United Malaysian Hindu Voice (UMHV) is organizing Human Rights & Constitutional Rights – A Debate 3.0, scheduled for Sunday, August 30, 2026, in collaboration with Brickfields Asia College (BAC) Petaling Jaya. The day-long competitive debate will run from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in Selangor. Entry for the competition is completely free of charge.
Expanding on Past Success
Last year’s edition gathered student debaters, SPM/STPM school leavers, and young professionals nationwide to deliberate pressing legal issues surrounding fundamental liberties and the Malaysian Federal Constitution. The initiative successfully created a high-energy platform for youth to sharpen their argument construction, cross-examination skills, and legal literacy.
Debating complex constitutional issues under strict time constraints tests not just your legal knowledge, but your ability to think on your feet under pressure. Grateful for the fierce competition, sharp judges, and solid teamwork that made this tournament unforgettable.

Human Rights & Constitutional Rights – A Debate 3.0 Designed under the motto “Duty Before Self. Constitution Above All” and the theme “Young Voices, Strong Rights, Inspiring Change,” and aims to elevate the standard of discourse even further by engaging a broader demographic of young legal enthusiasts.
Target Demographic and Eligibility
The national debate competition is open to participants within the Malaysian Hindu community who meet the following parameters:
- Eligible Participants – SPM and STPM school leavers, public (IPTA) and private (IPTS) university students, and working adults.
- Age Requirement – Participants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Trophy and Prize Breakdown
Competing teams will clash for the prestigious Tan Sri Nallini Satya & Nyaya Debate Trophy, along with medals, certificates of achievement, and a total cash prize pool of RM 2,100
Official grand prize structure for "Human Rights & Constitutional Rights - A Debate 3.0," featuring free registration and RM 1,000 for the championship team competing for the Tan Sri Nallini Satya & Nyaya Debate Trophy.- Champion: RM 1,000, Championship Trophy, and Medals
- 1st Runner-Up: RM 500 and Medals
- Consolation Prizes (2 Teams): RM 300 each
- Participation: All participants will receive an official Certificate of Participation.
