KUALA LUMPUR, 5 June 2025: A 25-year-old British tourist, Jordan Michael John Johnson-Doyle, who had been missing since May 27, was found dead at a construction site in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. His body was discovered on June 4 in a water-filled lift shaft at the Bangsar Hill Park development. The identification was confirmed by his uncle through a distinctive tattoo.

Johnson-Doyle had been traveling solo across Southeast Asia while working remotely as a software engineer for a U.S.-based company. His last known contact was a photo sent to a friend from Healy Mac’s Irish Bar in Bangsar. Concerns arose when his family couldn’t reach him, leading them to file a missing person report.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa stated that a post-mortem revealed the cause of death as chest injuries from a fall. No foul play is suspected, and the case is classified as a sudden death. Investigations are ongoing, with assistance from Merseyside Police in the UK.
