KUALA LUMPUR — More than 900 international students and parents gathered in Malaysia for the grand conclusion of the International Abacus, Science, and English Olympiad 2026.
The multi-day academic festival was organised by the TMP Little Scientist Research Academy to spotlight young excellence across various disciplines. Spanning several days of intense competition and networking, the event drew bright young minds from multiple countries to test their analytical capabilities on a global stage.
The grand event commenced on 3 July with a vibrant cultural exchange programme. This opening day also featured a national-level prize presentation ceremony, celebrating local students who excelled in preliminary rounds before the arrival of the international delegations.
Following the opening festivities, the core competitive matches commenced on 4 July at the University of Cyberjaya campus. The facility hosted hundreds of participants as they sat for rigorous examinations designed to challenge their advanced mathematical skills, scientific reasoning, and English language proficiency.
The highlight of the entire festival took place on 5 July, moving directly to the capital city at the Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Kuala Lumpur campus. The venue hosted the grand international awards ceremony, where top-performing global students received accolades for their academic achievements.
According to the event coordinators, the initiative achieved goals well beyond basic classroom metrics. The global platform succeeds not only in elevating the academic skills of primary and secondary students, but also in serving as an essential cultural bridge that strengthens long-term relationships between participating countries.
