Johor Polls – Final Election Results Expected by 10 PM Saturday

KLUANG — Final official results for the Johor state election will be declared in a single comprehensive announcement by 10:00 PM this Saturday, July 11, skipping the traditional practice of delivering rolling, seat-by-seat updates throughout the night.

Election Commission (EC) Chairman Ramlan Harun announced the definitive timeline today, attributing the streamlined process to recent digital infrastructure upgrades.

“With our upgraded system, we hope to have the full results ready at around 10:00 PM,” Ramlan stated at a press conference after observing early voting operations at the Mahkota army camp. Ramlan strongly urged the state’s electorate to mobilize for the weekend polls, framing the ballot as a crucial civic contribution to the nation’s democratic process.

Voter Breakdown and Enforcement Purview the upcoming weekend election features a total eligible electorate of 2.73 million voters across Johor. This pool includes 24,751 police and armed forces personnel registered under the early voting track, the bulk of whom cast their ballots in person today across 64 specialized polling stations, with the remainder participating via postal slots.

On campaign enforcement, Ramlan revealed that the EC is currently investigating 588 reports of alleged election offences filed directly with its enforcement teams.

Signaling inter-agency cooperation, the campaign period has additionally triggered 44 formal reports referred directly to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), alongside three separate cases lodged with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for independent statutory investigation.
