Prime Video has announced the premiere date for Snakes and Ladders, an upcoming series with creative production by acclaimed filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. The dark-humor thriller is set to debut on the streaming platform on October 18. Directed by Bharath Muralidharan, Ashok Veerappan, and Kamala Alchemis, the series is produced by Kalyan Sundaram under Stonebench Productions.
Set in the mid-2000s, Snakes and Ladders follows four school friends—Gilly, Irai, Sandy, and Bala—who become entangled in dangerous situations after attempting to cover up an accident. The official synopsis teases their misadventures as they navigate being pursued by police, clumsy criminals, and their own misguided decisions. This quirky thriller highlights the chaos and humor of their journey, which eventually leads to unexpected self-discovery.
With a unique blend of dark humor and gripping tension, the series promises to celebrate friendship in all its forms. The cast includes Naveen Chandra, Muthu Kumar, Nandaa, Srinda, Manoj Bharathiraja, Ramachandran, Sreejith Ravi, Samrit Surya, Rageshwar Surya, Kumar Tharun, and Sasha Bharen.
Created by Kamala Alchemis and Dhivakar Kamal, Snakes and Ladders is set to captivate audiences with its thrilling storyline and dynamic characters when it premieres on Prime Video on October 18.
