KPM Launches RM 100 MADANI Book Voucher for Students

KUALA LUMPUR — The Ministry of Education (KPM) has officially launched the redemption phase for the highly anticipated Baucar Buku MADANI 2026 scheme, rolling out an extensive national repository of reading assets to boost academic excellence and lower household schooling expenses.

The national programme commenced its primary digital rollout on 1 July 2026. Supported by a total fiscal allocation of RM221,757,900.00, the state-backed welfare mechanism is mathematically mapped to provide targeted support to 2,217,579 students nationwide, with each recipient accessing a flat credit value of RM100 issued strictly as an e-voucher.

Streamlining Institutional Access and Eligibility

The structural architecture of the 2026 rollout covers multiple tiers of secondary and tertiary education, ensuring that aid bypasses traditional financial bottlenecks. According to administrative parameters, the eligible student groups encompass,

  • Secondary School Learners – All individuals registered from Remove Class (Kelas Peralihan) all the way up to Form 6 (Tingkatan 6).

  • Technical and Pre-University Streams – Active students currently enrolled across the network of national Vocational Colleges and Matriculation centres.

  • Future Educators – Teacher trainees pursuing formal professional credentials at any branch of the Teacher Education Institute (IPGM) network.

To ensure a seamless, user-friendly experience, the administrative team has completely digitised the redemption pipeline. Students can activate their credit allocations directly by logging into the centralized DELIMa educational gateway. Utilizing standard Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication protocols, the portal instantly connects users to the Book Capital digital marketplace. This specialized virtual hub hosts a vast supply chain, offering selections from 1,238 registered book selling companies and over 1,300 unique publishers.

Enforcing Strategic Literary Purchasing

A notable operational shift introduced for this academic cycle involves structural limits on how the funds are spent. Every recipient is now legally required to purchase at least one book originating from the newly curated “Judul Khas” (Special Titles) category before unlocking the remaining balance for general academic or leisure texts.

The targeted framework draws from a pool of more than 800,000 active titles, intentionally curated to build critical thinking, cultural awareness, and high-tech readiness among Malaysian youths. The specialized categories include:

  • National Literature & Masterpieces – Prominent historical documentation, classical writings, and canonical works by recognized national authors (Sasterawan Negara).

  • General & Non-Fiction Portfolio – Core reference materials expanding across geopolitical theory, human capital development, socio-economics, and philosophy.

  • AI, STEM & Modern Technology – Specialized literature detailing advanced robotics, future sciences, engineering disciplines, and artificial intelligence frameworks.

  • Information Technology & Digitalisation – Foundations in coding, secure digital network protocols, and modern computing methodologies.

By consolidating multiple distribution streams under a single automated architecture, KPM aims to eliminate logistics leakages while revitalising the domestic printing and publishing sector. The digital redemption window remains open across all institutional networks, with student bodies encouraged to optimize their allocations to secure high-quality learning resources well ahead of the year-end examination cycles.
