6th NOVEMBER: A police escort officer in Malaysia was fined RM1,000 after pleading guilty to assaulting a disabled e-hailing driver, identified as Muhamad Azlan. The incident reportedly began when the officer accused Azlan of obstructing traffic while waiting to pick up a passenger in his designated lane.
In court, the prosecution revealed that the officer’s aggression was unprovoked, detailing how he physically struck Azlan’s vehicle and body. The magistrate subsequently imposed a fine, which the officer promptly paid, settling the case as stated in FMT.
