Genting Malaysia Opens 2026 Scholarship Applications for Undergraduate Studies

KUALA LUMPUR — Genting Malaysia Berhad has officially invited young Malaysians to apply for the Genting Malaysia Scholarship Award 2026, offering full financial support for undergraduate studies locally or overseas alongside structured internship and industry exposure.

The scholarship targets high-achieving students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership qualities, and active involvement in co-curricular activities.

Eligible candidates must submit their applications online before the 15 August 2026 deadline.

The programme covers tuition and living support across several core disciplines vital to modern corporate operations:

  • Hospitality, Tourism & Culinary: Hospitality and Tourism Management, Culinary Arts.
  • Technology & Analytics: Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, and Computer Science.
  • Engineering & Business: Engineering disciplines, Finance, Accounting, Business, Marketing, Human Resources, and related fields.

Beyond direct financial assistance, the scheme acts as a talent pipeline, connecting scholars to real-world experience and professional mentorship within Genting Malaysia’s dynamic corporate ecosystem.

From Scholars to Corporate Professionals

The scholarship’s long-term impact is reflected in its alumni network, who have transitioned from academic funding into technical roles within the group.

Previous recipient Ng Joo Ern, who completed a Mechanical Engineering degree at the University of Bristol under the scholarship, now works in Genting Malaysia’s Digital Labs team focusing on artificial intelligence and automation solutions.

Similarly, Tan Kok Yan utilized the scholarship’s internship and mentorship frameworks to build a career in the Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R) engineering sector.

Applicant Eligibility and Submission Requirements

To qualify, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:

  • Citizenship & Age: Malaysian citizens aged 23 and below.
  • Academic Status: Awaiting admission to a full-time undergraduate degree programme at an accredited local or overseas university.
  • Financial Cap: Monthly household income of RM10,000 or below.
  • Exclusivity: Must not currently hold other scholarships or study loans.

Interested applicants must submit an online application packet including academic transcripts, a résumé, proof of household income, and a one-page PowerPoint presentation outlining their background, achievements, and career aspirations via Genting Malaysia’s official scholarship portal.
