BANGI, Aug 4 — Unemployed Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates should capitalize on the government’s MYFutureJobs platform to secure positions matching their technical expertise, Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan said today.
Speaking to reporters after attending the Advanced Technology Training Centre (Adtec) convocation ceremony, Ramanan noted that the portal—managed by the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO)—serves as a primary nationwide clearinghouse for skilled job seekers.
“If it’s hard to find a job, you can apply via the MYFutureJobs portal provided by the Ministry of Human Resources,” Ramanan said, emphasizing the government’s push to fulfill expanding industry demand for technical talent.
Strong Industry Trust Drives High Employability
Ramanan highlighted the strong market standing of graduates from institutions under the Human Resources Department (JTM), citing an employability rate of 95.5% and an employer satisfaction score of 97.2%.
While starting salaries vary across sectors, graduates in specialized fields such as maritime engineering can command monthly earnings exceeding RM4,000, often boosted by foreign currency allowances. Major corporations including Perodua, Huawei, and 7-Eleven continue to actively recruit from JTM institutions.
8,255 Graduates Celebrated Nationwide
The Bangi event marked the first session of the Adtec JTM convocation, honoring 637 of the 1,400 local graduates celebrating their achievements today.
Nationwide, this year’s convocation series will confer certificates and diplomas on a total of 8,255 graduates across 33 JTM campuses and two satellite facilities.
