New Kidsnergy Project Boosts Youth Sports Growth

KUALA LUMPUR, June 24 — Malaysia’s popular children’s athletic development program, Kidslympic, officially transformed into Kidsnergy today. The major rebranding initiative aims to create a highly inclusive and family-friendly sports platform to advance youth health across the country.

Program co-founder Goh Liu Ying announced the launch during a special press event. Liu Ying, an iconic badminton athlete who captured a mixed doubles silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, stated that the update represents a deep evolution rather than a simple name modification. The fresh title merges the concepts of children and dynamic teamwork to motivate entire communities to embrace physical fitness.

According to the leadership team, the previous branding sounded slightly too competitive and professional for young beginners. Transitioning to a family-oriented model ensures that sports feel welcoming rather than intimidating for growing households.

Organizers revealed that strategy sessions for the transition began last year before making the public announcement this month. To mark this new era, the program introduced an interactive category specifically designed for early childhood participants to ensure every child can join the movement.
