KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 4 — Perodua has announced immediate price cuts of up to RM4,700 across its second-generation Axia lineup, lowering the entry-level price for the popular compact hatchback to RM33,900.
The revised pricing applies across all four 2nd-generation variants launched in February 2023. The entry-level Axia 1.0 G receives the largest reduction, dropping RM4,700 from its previous RM38,600 price tag. Reductions for higher-spec variants range from RM500 to RM1,500.

Specifications Unchanged
Perodua confirmed that vehicle specifications, powertrain setups, and safety features remain completely unchanged. The automaker attributed the price reductions entirely to supply chain optimizations and operational efficiencies achieved alongside local vendors and ecosystem partners.
“This price revision forms part of our ongoing efforts to ease the cost pressures currently faced by Malaysians,” said Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, President and CEO of Perodua. “The new pricing also reflects our ongoing efforts to further improve our operational effectiveness, which has similarly translated into reduced service costs and revised pricing for our QV-E and Battery as a Service (BaaS) offerings.”
Axia 1.0 E “Rahmah” Unaffected
The first-generation manual Axia 1.0 E—informally known as the “Axia Rahmah”—retains its status as Malaysia’s cheapest car at RM22,000 with no price adjustment. While industry speculation persists regarding its eventual retirement, the base model remains available on Perodua’s official lineup.
